How we handle your data and what governs our work together.
Konkan Sun Productions is an independent video production company operated by Gautam Kannan. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us or engage our services, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.
We collect only what is necessary to respond to your enquiry or deliver the agreed work: contact information you provide directly (name, email address, company name), information about your project shared during discovery conversations, and email correspondence between you and Konkan Sun Productions.
We do not operate cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics on this website. Contact us via the form on our contact page or by email.
To respond to your enquiry and scope potential projects. To deliver, manage, and document productions you have engaged us to produce. To send project-related updates and invoices. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Productions may involve third-party tools and platforms (editing software, cloud storage, file transfer services). Data shared during a production flows through these tools only as necessary to deliver the agreed work. We do not retain client assets or data beyond what is required for the project.
We retain project-related correspondence and documentation for two years after project completion for warranty and reference purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing legal@konkansunproductions.com.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Contact us at legal@konkansunproductions.com and we will respond within 14 business days.

These terms govern the relationship between Konkan Sun Productions (operated by Gautam Kannan) and any client engaging production services. By proceeding with a project, you agree to these terms.
Each engagement is governed by a written project brief agreed upon before work begins. The brief defines deliverables, timeline, cost, and acceptance criteria. Work outside the agreed brief is subject to a separate scope and cost estimate before it begins.
Projects are invoiced in two stages: 50% on project kickoff, 50% on delivery. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. Late payment beyond 30 days may result in work being paused until the account is settled. All fees are quoted in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Upon receipt of full payment, all final deliverables produced specifically for your project are assigned to you. You own the finished work. Konkan Sun Productions retains no licence to use your deliverables for commercial purposes without your permission.
Raw footage, project files, templates, and underlying production assets developed independently of your project remain the intellectual property of Konkan Sun Productions unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Any assets, footage, scripts, or materials you provide for use in the production must be owned by you or properly licensed. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any material you supply. Konkan Sun Productions is not liable for claims arising from client-supplied materials.
Deliverables are considered accepted if no written objection is received within 7 business days of delivery. Objections must reference the specific acceptance criteria in the project brief. Konkan Sun Productions will address valid defects within the agreed revision scope at no additional cost.
The number of revision rounds included in each project is specified in the project brief. Revisions beyond the agreed number are billed at the applicable day rate.
Konkan Sun Productions' liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the total fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including lost revenue or reputational harm.
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public business information shared during the engagement. This obligation survives project completion.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York County.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always at konkansunproductions.com/legal.html. Continued engagement after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
