Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most before a project gets started.

Working With Us

What types of projects do you take on?

We work on short films, branded content, commercial videos, social media content, and documentary-style projects. If you have a story worth telling and care how it looks on screen, we want to hear about it.

How many projects do you run at once?

We keep a small slate on purpose. We take on a limited number of projects at any given time so each one gets our full attention. If our schedule is full, we'll tell you upfront and discuss timing.

Who will I be working with day-to-day?

Gautam Kannan is your primary point of contact from first conversation through final delivery. On larger productions, a trusted production consultant or AD will handle day-to-day coordination on set, but you'll always be talking to the same person on our side.

Do you work with clients outside New York?

Yes. We work with clients from around the world. Remote projects are handled remotely. Productions requiring a physical shoot can be arranged in New York or on location, depending on scope and budget.

Process & Planning

How does a project typically start?

It starts with a real conversation, not a form. We want to understand your brand, your audience, and what you're trying to make people feel. We don't start writing or planning until we understand that. From there, we put together a proposal with clear scope, milestones, and cost estimates.

How do you handle timelines and project management?

We work from a detailed project plan with clear milestones, dependencies, and a realistic schedule. You always know where the project stands, what it's costing, and what's coming next. If anything changes, you hear about it immediately, with options, not surprises.

How often will we check in during production?

We agree on a check-in frequency at the start of every project, based on what makes sense for the scope and your team. Whether that's weekly calls or milestone-based updates, we'll agree on it upfront and stick to it.

Scope & Budget

Do you have a minimum project budget?

We don't publish a fixed minimum, because every project is different. What we can tell you is that we're not the right fit for low-budget, high-volume content mills. We're the right fit for clients who care about quality and want it done once, correctly.

What's included in a typical production package?

It depends on scope, but we handle everything: scriptwriting, storyboarding, casting, location, shoot, editing, color grading, and sound. We can scope individual phases or manage the full pipeline. Full details are on our Services page.

Do you handle revisions after delivery?

Yes. We include a defined number of revision rounds in every proposal. Additional rounds beyond that are scoped and priced separately. Clear scope upfront prevents the kind of revision cycles that frustrate everyone.

Getting Started

How do I get in touch?

Use our contact form to tell us a bit about the project. We'll respond within one business day to set up a call.

What should I include in my first email?

Keep it simple. Tell us what you're trying to make, who it's for, and roughly when you need it. Budget range is helpful too, even if it's approximate. We'll take it from there.

Ready to Start a Conversation?

Tell us about your project and we'll come back with a proposal that fits.
